But once he gets there, Craig and Day-Day have a set of suburban misadventures that make his South Central experiences look tame.

My name is Scott Logsdon. I wrote the book and lyrics for the new musical,
AN AMERICAN COUNTRY CHRISTMAS CAROL
I will be directing a staged reading of it at BRT this December 5,6 & 8.
AN AMERICAN COUNTRY CHRISTMAS CAROL sets the Dickens classic tale of redemption and community
in the American south with a score utilizing country music.
The music is by a who's who of Music Row hitmakers: Rand Bishop (Toby Keith's MY LIST), Kent Blazy (Garth Brooks's IF TOMORROW NEVER COMES and Danny Gokey's MY BEST DAYS ARE AHEAD OF ME), Roxie Dean (Jamie O'Neal's WHEN I THINK ABOUT ANGELS), Tim Finn (WINTER LIGHT From the NARNIA film), Billy Kirsch (CMA Composer/Song of the Year for HOLES IN THE FLOOR OF HEAVEN and Wynonna's IS IT OVER YET) and J. Fred Knobloch (the #1 hit WHY NOT ME and Faith Hill's IF MY HEART HAD WINGS). They have all written much more and have huge bodies or work.
I am looking for actors for upcoming auditions. Everyone involved will be paid and as it will fall under the Equity Developmental Code, I can use both Equity and non-Equity actors (and paying everyone even though the code allows readings of up to 3 performances to be done for free). Rehearsals will be minimal.
A little about me: I was an originating cast member of the national company of LES MISERABLES and appeared in it on Broadway and internationally. I wrote the book and lyrics for a musical called JOYCE JACKSON'S GUIDE TO DATING. That show was a finalist for the Richard Rodgers Award and the Jonathan Larson Award and JOYCE was featured in the National Alliance of Musical Theatre Producer's Composers Showcase in New York City. I've had work featured in Broadway's GYPSY OF THE YEAR event. As dance captain for LES MIS, I staged seven companies of the tour and with John Caird's (the original director and former head of The Royal Shakespeare Company) approval, I restaged several numbers for the Broadway Tenth Anniversary Production. I have directed many shows regionally, including recent productions of THE LAST FIVE YEARS and COMPANY, both of which garnered Desert Theatre League Award nominations for Best Director and Best Musical in Southern California.

Venture into the mysterious, unexplained and often startling fears that define the spirit of Halloween!
Enter Haunted Nashville's unique world, where guests find themselves immersed in an atmosphere of a bygone era,
where stories of old are shared and experienced in an eerie and strikingly unconventional environment...
an interactive pageantry of the paranormal. Science fiction and history collide in this realm
of theatrical ghost stories that seem all too real.
Seeking a cast of dedicated, responsible individuals with an appetite for
being creepy, startling, or downright unhinged for:
Acting (improvisation skills a major plus)
Staffing* (retail, line attendants, security, etc)
Note: Staff positions also involve some acting.

WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE AUDITIONS:
During the audition, you will be given some background and instructions as to
the general operation of the attraction. You will then be placed in two scenarios:
1. Strategy: You will be placed in a haunted house room which has distractions, and many areas
in which to scare patrons from. It will be up to you to use the distractions in this room to your advantage
and strategically figure out where, when, and how to scare the patrons in that room.
Timing is just as important as the other elements.
2. Improv: You will be placed in an area where there are no places to hide and no distractions.
This will let us see how well you creatively think on your feet and how you can use a quick wit
to accomplish psychological scares, effective body language, or strategy of using the different patrons
in the group to your advantage. Keeping up with current events helps in this area. Those seeking
to be in a staff cast position will also be auditioned in this way, as we are looking for people
who can be entertaining even if they are selling tickets in the Box Office, handling the admission line, etc.
